Believe it or not: I was totally unaware of this movie project. Will it be live action or animated?
Believe it or not: In 1937 Max Fleisher Studios (of Betty Boop fame)tried to make an animated feature of "John Carter of Mars". They got to the pencil test stage, but could not get financing. 70+ years is a long time to wait for a movie.
It from the Director of Wall-E but it is supposed to be live action. IMDB.com lists it for a 2012 release. The guy who played Gambit, in Wolverine, will be John Carter and Dejah will be played by Lynn Collins who was also in Wolverine. William Dafoe will Tars Tarks, which I assume has to be a CGI.
I don't know how popular the DB is but it seems like only the cool kids know about it. Lots of great talent on there.
There is another whole sub-culture for Nerf guns and moding them. I have been steampunking some for fun. I have to flex my creative side since I work in IT for a living. I have 4 different gun types I am painting now, in various stages. I should be posting some more images over the weekend.
